Rutledge Runs Ropes in 2017!
It is with great pleasure that I introduce Anne Rutledge to CSL!!
Anne is a newcomer to Seneca Lake. She is originally from Belleville, Illinois and currently lives in Carbondale, Illinois. She is very excited to be a part of the Seneca Lake family this summer. Her love of summer camps and the outdoors began back in 2005 when she attended Camp Ondessonk in Ozark, Illinois for the first time. She spent 7 years as a camper and 5 years as summer and full time staff, holding positions such as Kitchen Staff, Dining Hall Manager, Kitchen Manager, Year-Round Outdoor Educator, Counselor-in-Training Staff, and most recently, Challenge Course Director. In her free time, you can usually find Anne somewhere in the Shawnee National Forest in Southern Illinois climbing and hiking. Here is what Anne has to say about joing our CSL team-
"I cannot express how excited I am to meet everyone at Camp Seneca Lake this summer. Being a part of the Summer Camp experience has always been one of the most important things in my life and I am very excited to share my love of that experience with all of you. I'll never forget being 9 years old and being away from home and at camp for the first time and how much that experience influenced me to be the person I am today. There's a magic that comes with camp, whether that be with the friends you make, the traditions of camp, the new things that you try, and even simply learning something new about yourself, that magic is an incredible thing to be a part of. My biggest wish for this summer is to have myself and every camper have a ton of fun, learn something new every day, take steps out of our comfort zones, and make lifelong friendships. I've been counting down the days (93) until I get to meet you all and have the best summer ever!"
We will continue to announce staffing throughout the Spring.
See you soon,
