What a crazy first full week it has been here in Seneca! From bunk night to village nights and Tiyuls our girls have been up to a lot of fun. Both youngest and middle Seneca ventured out of camp this past week with our Tiyulim staff to go on a campout aka a “Tiyul.” The girls hiked a total of four miles as well as spent the night together making their own dinner and dessert while all of the while bonding with one another. Middle Senecan Alexa H. described her experience by saying, “I’ve never gone camping before but this was a great first experience and makes me want to go camping more.” Fellow Senecan Avi P. seconded this notion by saying, “It was really fun being able to make our own food at the camp out. This is our first time being able to go on a Tiyul and cook for ourselves it was awesome.”

As well as bonding while on their Tiyuls, Seneca as a village continued to bond throughout the week at different program areas like the Waterfront, A&C and Athletics. Whether it was banana boating with friends or creating string bracelets for each other, the girls of Seneca continue to get to know one another and grow closer together. The excitement and energy that these girls have is infectious and will continue to impact our village in a positive manner for the rest of the summer.

That’s the scoop for now!
