Hi everyone! It has been a long two days at CSL. For the past 48 hours, camp was divided into blue and red for Color War. Many wait all year for this special program to arrive. Aside from small events and signature events, a major part of Color War is LTP’s or long term projects. This year there were two, The Divide and The Showcase. As the blue team Divide captain, my job was to depict the essence of the blue team on a chain link fence. While certain campers and staff were allocated to create the fence with me, a special requirement was that every team member had to contribute using a body part. Everyone on the blue team made a footprint that was hung on the fence. The Divide was presented to the rest of camp towards the end of Color War. Part of this presentation is below.

“Together these team members walk the same path to victory. Step by step. Together we dominate, together we create, together we unite and together we are blue. As Robert Fulghum once said "The grass in fact not greener on the other side of the fence, no not at all. Fences have nothing to do with it. The grass is greenest where it is watered. When crossing over fences, carry water with you and tend to the grass wherever you may be.”

After a long two days, it felt great to get back to regular old camp. It is hard to believe we only have one week left!
